BLACK PEARL NAMED KEY SUSTAINABILITY PARTNER ON BILLIE EILISH’S RECORD-BREAKING WORLD TOUR
BLACK PEARL helped reshape concert culture across Europe, the UK, and North America

BLACK PEARL is proud to be recognized as an official partner on Billie Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR — one of the most ambitious sustainability efforts in live music history, which collectively raised $13.3 million for climate action and community organizations worldwide.
Black Pearl collaborated directly with Billie and her team to produce city-by-city sustainable fashion guides for every European, UK, and 2025 North America tour stop. The guides connected fans to local vintage shops, independent designers, and repair workshops — offering a compelling alternative to the fast fashion “concert outfit” culture that has long defined the live music experience.
In London, Berlin and Atlanta, BLACK PEARL’s impact extended onto the concert floor itself, where the team organized pop-up sewing stations at venues through OVERHEATED, inviting fans to customise items and merchandise on-site. The activation drew widespread enthusiasm, turning sustainability into a hands-on, communal experience.

“We believe fashion is one of the most powerful entry points for climate conversations,” said BLACK PEARL Founder Samata Pattinson. “Working with Billie gave us the opportunity to meet fans where they already are — and show that style and sustainability aren’t in conflict.”

The partnership is part of a broader tour sustainability program developed with REVERB, Support+Feed, and Live Nation, which saw over 215,000 fan actions taken at shows globally.
BLACK PEARL’s work is featured in Billie Eilish’s official HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR Sustainability & Impact Report, which documents the tour’s sweeping environmental and community outcomes — from 7.7 million plant-based meal equivalents delivered, to 135,260 single-use plastic bottles avoided, to 215,117 fan actions taken at shows across the globe. The report, compiled by REVERB, positions the tour as a new benchmark for what climate-conscious touring can look like at the highest level of live music.
