BLACK PEARL officially launches initiative ‘Culture@’!
The initiative, which captured its second iteration during Climate Week NYC this September, kicked off at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), where it documented diverse cultural clothing and captured the stories behind the outfits to highlight global expressions and individuals’ connections to sustainability and identity.
Documenting the rich cultural expressions of sustainability for the first series, Culture@ aims to explore style and messaging, amplifying the many ways sustainability can be communicated visually. The initiative delves into various individual expressions of sustainability across age, race, class, identity, socioeconomics, disability, religion, and education.

Culture@ captures individuals in recognized gatherings where stakeholders convene, share insights, and drive meaningful action on social and environmental sustainability issues, such as the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Global Climate Weeks.
The purpose of BLACK PEARL’s ‘Culture@’ initiative is to spotlight and preserve the power of visual messaging and to create a global narrative that honors diversity in expression.
