Now in its fifth year, the Hollywood Climate Summit organizes high-energy events and coordinates creative partnerships for cross-sector media professionals to level up their climate knowledge, align strategies, deepen intersectional values, showcase innovation, and lead a cultural movement of sustained climate action.
HCS Board Member and BLACK PEARL’s CEO Samata Pattinson joined the Hollywood Climate Summit for a conversation on the impact and broader thinking around climate campaigns, sponsored by United Talent Agency.
The discussion was moderated by The Hollywood Reporter who recently launched their sustainability issue.
Earlier this year, BLACK PEARL partnered to create the Sustainable Style Guide for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Education matters to us and our community, including the Summit organizers. We discussed this and our other work in storytelling and collaboration.
BLACK PEARL shared the space with thought leaders like Leah Thomas (Writer, Founder of Intersectional Environmentalist), Sheila Morovati (Founder of How Changers / Habits of Waste), Karla Reyes of Anima App, and actor Calum Worthy.
HCS is an official partner of The Academy, organizing year-round, high-energy convenings and creative labs for multi-sector media professionals to drive climate action through collaboration, innovation, and cultural impact.
