No Single Use Fashion
Introducing No Single Use Fashion, a campaign uniting the fashion and music industries to drive real change in sustainability
BLACK PEARL, in partnership with bluesign, is igniting a global movement to disrupt disposable fashion and spark a more conscious style mindset with the launch of “No Single Use Fashion.” Blending the energy of fashion and music culture, the campaign rallies fans, artists, and event organizers to rethink the tradition of buying outfits just to wear once—especially at live music shows.
The issue is bigger than it looks: in 2019, more than 7.5 million single-use outfits were bought for music events and quickly discarded. No Single Use Fashion flips that narrative, proving that self-expression and sustainability not only can coexist—they can amplify each other.
At the heart of the campaign are three easy pledges designed to reduce waste and inspire creativity:
Wear pre-loved or second-hand pieces
Customize or refresh what you already own
Keep your outfit in use for at least nine months
Customize or refresh what you already own
Keep your outfit in use for at least nine months
When taken together, these simple choices create real impact—lowering carbon emissions, conserving water, and cutting down on textile waste. No Single Use Fashion invites everyone to join the movement and redefine what it truly means to be on-trend.
In line with BLACK PEARL’s ethos of educational programming, the campaign provides participants with access to free resources, including a Sustainable Style Guide, bluesign learning materials, the Fiibers E-Zine & Sewing Kit, and a global directory of resale and customization platforms.
